Terms of Service
Last updated: Not yet published. These terms are not yet in effect.
1. Service description
pingtrack is a concept demo for uptime monitoring. The dashboard runs entirely in your browser using localStorage — no URLs are checked from a server, and no data is transmitted to any backend.
2. No warranties
This service is provided as a concept demo with no warranties, express or implied. The uptime checks shown in the dashboard are simulated in-browser data. pingtrack is not suitable for production monitoring of any kind.
3. Billing
The pingtrack service is currently offered at no charge. No payment is processed or required to use the dashboard. Any paid plans shown on the pricing page are labelled as planned or coming soon and are not yet available for purchase.
When paid plans launch. If and when paid subscription plans become available, the following terms will apply. They are included here in advance so customers know what to expect; they are not in effect until a plan is actually offered for purchase.
- What you buy. A subscription grants you a specific usage tier (e.g., number of monitored URLs, check frequency, retention period) as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Price and billing period. The price and billing period (monthly or yearly) are shown at checkout and are fixed for the duration of the billing period. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payment method. Payment is processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. pingtrack does not see or store your full card number. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on the agreed schedule.
- Failed payments. If a recurring charge fails (card declined, expired, insufficient funds), pingtrack will retry the charge automatically up to five times over 15 days. If payment cannot be collected, access to paid features will be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid. After 30 days of non-payment, the account will revert to the free tier.
- Refund policy. Refunds are not offered for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. If pingtrack discontinues a paid plan you subscribed to, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the billing period.
- Free tier is always available. The free tier (up to five URLs, 15-minute check interval, seven-day history) will remain available at no charge regardless of whether paid plans exist.
No paid plans are currently available for purchase. The billing terms above are a forward-looking description that will take effect when paid plans are launched.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, pingtrack shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.
